Our Wedding Day

Wow, remember me??? I won't get hurt if you don't.

I am the worst. blogger. ever!

Between school, work, buying a house, planning a wedding, having a wedding, my Papa passing away, there has been NO time! And when there is time, I stare at my blogger dash board and contemplate... Should I??? Shouldn't I??? Obviously you know my answer.

Well since my dog is a spastic child and now decides she no longer would like to sleep through the night, I woke up this morning at 3 to let her outside. When I couldn't get back to sleep I got the sudden urge to  begin the slow catch up process of my blog.

I am not making ANY promises. I might do one or two this morning and suddenly become MIA until the school year is over. Don't hate me!

I DO promise however to blog more when school is FINALLY over and we are back from our awesome Cruise/Bahama/Disney World honeymoon <3

So lets begin with our wedding. That's right, I am Mrs. Wright now :)

We had THE MOST perfect wedding anyone can wish for. Now I know that is a little biased, but it was :) Having our family and everyone we care so much about all in one place was PRICELESS. It was amazing to have so many people support and love Kyle and I. I will cherish that moment forever.

We had a family friend marry us and I completely recommend it to ANY future bride. That decision was pretty last minute due to what was turning into a disaster with our officiant. Well I am glad we had that disaster. It made everything so personalized and so "us", it was beyond special.

Our  reception was AMAZING! Everyone had a complete BLAST!! Everyone's favorite part had to be the photobooth. I think we got a million compliments on it that night and looking through the pictures just reassured us how much fun was had on our wedding night.

Do I have any regrets? Yes, just one. Our photographer. Before our wedding I always said that I will cut costs ANYWHERE as long as we truly invest in a great photographer. So that is what we did. We called and called and called places until our ears hurt. They all sounded about the same so we finally called the one we ended up going with. They were by far the nicest. We had a meeting with them and we KNEW we had to choose them. Their office space had samples of work and they were amazing! Not to mention these two were SO nice, and still are, don't get me wrong.

Well flash forward to wedding day and I kept on getting a little disappointed with the picture part of it as the day went on.

I had to keep asking for certain shots, nothing creative was done in the hotel room pictures to make them not so... hotel-y, and more pictures weren't taken.

I was mostly disappointed when we received the pictures. Not ONE was edited. I am sorry, aren't photographers supposed to do that?! I am going to have to go back and edit them all and crop some where our faces aren't so great to make them "artsy." I get frustrated because for what was paid, we shouldn't have had to ask for certain shots, and they should be edited.

Not to mention the fact that she did not get ONE shot of my dad, mom, brother, Kyle and I all together after the wedding. That is the most frustrating one of all.

Note to future brides: do not let their sample photos fool you. Find complete albums of pictures they have done and, heck, with Facebook now you can even ask them yourselves using the photographers page.

Hmm... I am inspired to eventually write a bride suggestion blog. Let's see if I ever actually get around to it.

Well that was truly the only major downfall and to only have one is pretty darn good if you ask me.

Enjoy: :)

Yesterday: Best day ever.

Well good morning blogger friends!

So we agreed not to be telling everyone but I don't personally know most of you so I HAVE TO SHARE! And those that I do know personally, please don't go tellin' anyone (we want to share the news with everyone ourselves)! Hehe

WE SECURED A HOMMME! A brand, spankin new home. We have a meeting with the bank Monday so depending on how that goes, we should have this home in about a month or less.

It's OK Thursday

My attempt to post in the 10 minutes I have to sit and enjoy my coffee before I have to rush to work!!!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK

... to be super impatient when buying a home.

... to fantasize about how you are going to decorate a home that you want to buy but aren't even close to actually having.

... to not want to go to work because all you want to do is keep looking at pictures of the home and go visit it a few more times.

... to literally be obsessed with buying a home... I will stop now (well for this post anyway), sorry!

... to be more excited than your kiddos are about the 100th day of school.

... to begin freaking out a little bit (in a good way) to see that your wedding is only 44 days away.

...to be annoyed at the bad grammar people have on facebook. "Dat" is not as cool as saying "that." Is it being lazy? I don't get it. Don't even get me started on there, their, they're.

... to ignore the people that tell you that you should be working out since the wedding is right around the corner.
... to always, ALWAYS be excited about your 40 minute drive to work simply because you can either listen to a hilarious morning show on the radio or sing at the top of your lungs to get you in a great mood. :)

...to never, EVER be excited about the 40 minute drive home because you are so unbelievably exhausted even though the thing you want most is to be home. Does that make sense???

Shoot, 12 minutes. I will get better!  :-P

Fastest update ever!

Only because I am too lazy to do more.

We went house shopping today!!!!!!!!! And let me tell ya, I think we might be looking at getting a brand new house and it will totally be tailored to what we want. Needless to say, I am OBSESSINNNNNG! I can't stop looking at pictures and fantasizing.

Two quick/big negatives about buying a house:

1. Your brain will be on the brink of explosion. Really, it is a million things to take in, not to mention all the money you will have to give up with just one little signature once the time comes to do so. Like wayyyyyyyyy more money than you ever planned. Who knew that it's not just a down payment you have to give away at signing? Note to self: No more trips to Target, Hobby Lobby or Barnes and Noble for a long, long while.

2. The process takes foreverrrrr. I am a person that has a one tracked mind. If we have a decision made on something, then I want to do it or get it done right then and there. Well not with buying a home... its going to take forever!!!!!!!!!!! You have to wait months for the house to be done (if going this route) then you have to wait like almost two months for a loan to go through... THEN you have to wait for all the closing crap! I might go insane, and when I go insane I go to Target or B&N... oh, this could be a bad cycle. :-/

Now, it is not set in stone whether we will get this home that we are looking at because we agreed to keep looking for just a bit. Who knows? We may find something wayyyy better. Like I said though, I have a one tracked mind... I want this one now!

Sneak peaks to what this (possible) home might be like:

Blogger games!!

So Blogger is being really weird... sorry for the weird font, weird random white highlighting and anything else you find weird :)

Wow! So I already broke my resolution about trying to post during the week... fail. I am off this Monday though so here we go :)

I was surprised to see that I was tagged by two posts when I logged on!! HOW FUN! I present, my blogger game post:

{The Rules}

1. You must post the rules.
2. Post eleven fun facts about yourself on the blog post.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
4. Tag eleven people and link them on your post
5. Let them know you've tagged them!

{Eleven Fun Facts}
1. I like to pretend that I read as much as I used to when in actuality I don't because of how busy I am during the school year!
 2. I stay in my PJs or sweats as long as possible because I hate getting up and getting dressed... They are just so much more comfy than regular clothes.

3. Even though I love doing that ^, I hate that I never have a "hip" closet. So I go out to buy new things and fail so I have a very badly mismatched closet. Anyone want to be my personal stylist??

4. I am an awful teacher in the sense that I walk away if I see one of the kiddos puking. What? Do you want me to puke too?! ....mean I know.

5. I am OBSESSED with my Keurig. I am drinking more coffee/hot chocolate/apple cider than ever.

6. I hate wedding planning... thank GOD my mom took over and is doing most of it!

7. I get to start the house-buying process with my future hubby and I couldn't be more frightened/excited/freaked out! (Any useful tips?)

8. Hearing my dog fart is one of the funniest things to me. I get a case of the giggles... bad.

9. I love when it is cold outside but I hate being cold.

10. I collect classic Disney things. I have a whole bookcase dedicated to it... and it doesn't just stop there. I am a Disney freak in all senses (I am even incorporating a lot of Disney into my wedding).

11. It has been my dream to go to NYC since I was about 5. I still have not gone... ONE DAY! Until then I continue to somewhat obsess over the city. Don't believe me? You should take a look out my bedroom. :-/

It's OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...
...to actually get sad when you take down your Christmas decorations.

...to also get sad your last time listening to Christmas music for the year.

...to be happy Christmas is over because it means American Idol is on it's way!

...to have not done a darn thing work related your entire Christmas break even though you brought lots home to do.

...to be super excited Jersey Shore is back on tonight. What can I say? Guilty Pleasure.

...to be so sad you have to go back to work today because the break went by WAY too fast!

...to still be secretly hurt that you got all your friends something for Christmas but not one of them did the same for you.

...to go through a couple K-cups a day in your Keurig just because you want to taste all your new yummy flavors.

...to have gone to sleep at 11:15pm on New Years Eve simply because you could not keep your eyes open one minute more. (Hey, I tried!)

...to still save work for the last minute even though you swore you would never procrastinate again.

Happy Thursday ya'll!

Bling, bling! An actual Tuesday link up!

Two posts in one day? Yes... simply because I need to do one MEANT for a Tuesday. This one comes from

If you haven't checked out her blog, you NEED TO! I saw this link up and had to do it! What girl doesn't want to show off her bling or her proposal?
Now, I already had written up my proposal on another blog post but to send you to that link would be torture for you because it was long winded about our California trip and my teaching! So I will cut to the chase and just copy and paste the most important, wonderful part.

Mr. Wright (pun intended) proposed on 12/24/10 and all I can tell you is that it was magical. Our wedding will take place on March 17, 2012 and I cannot wait!

Here is our story:

Christmas Eve had to have been my favorite because Kyle took me to San Francisco! I have been many times before and it still is my most favorite place to go to, I love it. We spent our time on Pier 39 this time (last time was the Golden Gate Bridge area at the Disney museum!). We just walked around looking at all the cool things and spending time warming up in the shops!

(Disney Museum of course!!)

Only in a big city... and of course I laughed and took pictures.... I might be going to hell.

There was the COOLEST Christmas shop there and of course I spent way too much time in it! I could have done some serious damage to my bank account if I stayed in there any longer than I did. I wanted to buy this WHOLE Christmas village set. Gorgeous.

We ate these bread bowls that were just amazing. Kyle had clam chowder which I actually liked which was surprising.

Biggest tree ever.... I think I took about 20 pictures of it. I was amazed and awestruck!

Just taking advantage of one of the amazing views of Alcatraz!

From here, we walked around the bay, looking at seals, the Golden Gate bridge and everything else the dock had to offer. We kept walking and I am pretty sure we ended up and the next pier because all of a sudden we were alone next to this really old trolley station looking thing. It had a gorgeous view of the city. It was sunset so everything was glowing and just beautiful. Very romantic! It was so quiet away from all the tourists and so pretty because it brought us lower and closer to the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. It was at this moment, sunset, city, bay and all that Kyle got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!!!!! It was absolutely AMAZING! I don't think I could have asked for anything more perfect. He did everything I dreamed of! The moment being romantic, asking my dad first, asking my best friend for advice, and my biggest dream of all... asking me on Christmas Eve. I still can't get over it all happening. I am engaged now! How weird is that?! A good weird though :) I feel a little bad though because I just kept saying "Are you serious!?" instead of just screaming YES! I of course said yes eventually but I was just caught off guard!

My beautiful most perfect ring. Sometimes I can't help stare at it!

Our first picture as an engaged couple!!! This was Christmas day and I don't think I have to mention that we were extra happy this Christmas.

P.S. I have a new blog name and URL! Much better in my opinion.

MY FIRST LINK UP!

So I am a little late with this link up but I really wanted to try something new and I loved this one! Not only that, but one of my resolutions (that I may have not posted) was that I need to STOP stressing when I get home from work. I get home and literally just worry about the next day or what needs to be done. It's got to stop and I really think that is why I have so many migraines... It is not healthy.

Skip forward to now... I love reading blogs, it's what I do on the weekends and when I am not worrying after work, I usually check to see if any of my favorites updated their blogs! So I figured if I start this whole link up thing, maybe it will be my stress reliever and maybe I will find some new friends and blogs to follow! I know my bff did and that is what I want too! So here we go:

photobucket

 1. A new kitchen island that i am obsessed with!!!

2. A Mickey snuggie!!! I live in it because I am cold pretty much 24/7

3. A personalized Mickey watch! (See? I was already living in my snuggie.)

4. My first wedding snow globe to add to my collection.

5. New Coach sunglasses!!!

Of course, this is just a few things and I am thankful for EVERY SINGLE THING I got! I am so lucky to have such wonderful people and things in my life.  LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!!

Day 2

I went out with Kyle today to try and hit with the clubs my brother gave me for my birthday. Bottom line: I stink.

A year in pictures

HAPPY NEW YEARRRR!!!!

So I decided I AM going to try to take a picture a day! We will see how this pans out. I want to have at least one picture a day for a whole year and I will TRY to post it on here too... in fact I am going to download the Blogger app on my phone to try to make it easier for me to remember that I even have a blog!

I think I also got my bff on board, let's do this Kat!!! Monica, you should start again too! What day is better than today?

And so it begins; January 1, 2012

Does this even need a caption? I don't think so... the picture says it all.

Hope you all have a blessed, and amazing new year!
